Join us at the CMYK book store on 24 July at 5:30 pm to greet Sahil Naik in Delhi and to mark the launch of his publication The Bird, A Bone, And Other Witnesses Of A Museum Fire.

Sahil will share rare insights and knowledge from his long term research on the afterlives of the collections from the National Museum of Natural History and the Zoology Department of the Ballygunge Science College which were incinerated in the fires that ravaged the institutions in 2016. He will also share his process of working on an artists’ publication and how his research intersects with the form of a book in conversation with the curator of Prameya Art Foundation, Anushka Rajendran.

The Bird, A Bone, And Other Witnesses Of A Museum Fire was enabled by PRAF Publish, an ongoing South Asia wide publishing grant for artists’ books, initiated by Prameya Art Foundation with the support of Emami Art and in partnership with Roli Books.
